Like any business that runs an event on a specific date with a limited number of attendees, attendance transfers seriously impact the event's viability.

We understand that matters arise, whereas for some events if you can’t attend there is no refund, we can reschedule the event (in this case a course at no cost).

This does create extra work for us depending on the number of transfers and the number of attendees.

But with sufficient notice, we can reschedule the event, and the attendee can attend an alternative date at no cost to them.

Bear in mind, even if an attendee transfers to another course, this then reduces the number of people who can then book future courses as numbers are limited - there is a flow-on effect.

Then when attendees can’t attend the course at short notice then there are other options available to resolve this. Such as swapping the attendee with another person, or the attendee can attend the course remotely (particularly in the case of injury, illness or covid).

Between 1994 and 2019, we had a steady average number of transfers, but in the last three years we have seen a remarkable increase in ‘Transfer Culture’

• 2020 63% increase in transfers
• 2021 229% increase in transfers
• 2022 208% increase in transfers

To address this our Terms and Conditions are as follows:

Attend Remotely

If you cannot attend face to face, we can organise that you attend the course remotely via Microsoft Teams, we will require at least one full business day's notice.

Swap Attendees

If you cannot attend your course you can organise for someone to take your place, and we will require at least one full business day's notice, and please ensure the replacement meets the course prerequisites.

Reschedule/Transfer to another Date

Reschedules at late notice can also have a serious impact on the viability of a course or can preclude others from attending a previously full course. If you reschedule the following charges will apply:

• More than five full working days prior to course date - $25+GST admin fee per person per course
• Less than five full working days prior to the course date - 50% Course fee per person per course

Cancel Course

Cancellations at late notice can have a serious impact on the viability of a course or can preclude others from attending a previously full course. If you cancel the following charges will apply:

• More than ten full working days prior to the course date - $50+GST admin fee per person per course
• Between 5 and 10 full working days prior to the course date - 50% Course fee per person per course
• Less than five full working days prior to the course date - 100% Course fee per person per course

Late to Class

If you are going to be late to class, please contact us immediately to see if it is acceptable and/or to reschedule for another date. Any more than 10 minutes late is disrespectful to other attendees and an alternative date will be arranged.
